News events are one major factor that can move price quickly in the forex markets. Our news protector EA allows traders to automatically manage their trading & orders before news events in an effort to lock in profits or minimize any potential downdraw.

The tool is great for manual traders, or traders who use an EA that does not include a news filter.

The EA allows traders to automate the following:

  • Close just orders before news events
  • Close just pending orders before news events
  • Close orders of a specific EA only
  • Close all open charts before news events
  • Restore charts once the news event is finished
  • Allow only certain currency news events
  • Receive email & mobile alerts when a news event happens
  • View upcoming news events right on the chart

The news actions triggers will work even when you are away from the computer!

==== License Settings ====

license_key: Enter a license key that was included with your order

==== Orders’ Filter ====

Close Mode: Select whether you’d like the EA to close all orders on the account, or just orders with specific magic numbers
Magic Numbers: If magic number closure is selected for “close mode” then the EA will close orders only with these magic numbers. You may create a list separated by ;

==== News Filter ====

Currency Watch: The currencies separated by ; that the EA will watch. The news events of these currencies will decide when the EA takes action.
Impact Low: Tell the EA to take action for low impact news events
Impact Medium: Tell the EA to take action for medium impact news events
Impact High: Tell the EA to take action for high impact news events
Period before news: The number of minutes before news events that the EA will take action
Period after news: The number of minutes after news events that the EA will allow normal trading & restore charts

Close market order: Tell the EA to close market orders before news events happen
Delete pending order: Tell the EA to delete pending orders before news events happen
Close charts: Tell the EA to close charts before news events happen. Charts will be restored once the news event is over
Email Alert: Tell the EA if you want an email alert when a news event happens
Push Alert: Tell the EA if you want a mobile alert when a news event happens

The remaining input settings are for visual display. You may set them how you’d like.
